  Weekly meet up for stained glass artists.  This is not an instructional class, but work-time for those with stained glass experience who either need a place to work or who want to hang out with other stained glass artists while working.  

  Cost is $5 for non-members and free for members.  This includes use of tools and space.  Additional costs if artists use materials (glass, tape, or solder) from the MakerSpace.  You can pay in person (with cash or credit) when you attend.  No need to sign-up, we'd love to have you just show up and make with us!

  If you've been wondering what the makerspace is all about, come and check it out on the second Monday of each month. Volunteers will be on hand from 6-8 pm to give tours, answer questions, and help new  members get signed up.

  Join Sherrailynn for a fun and useful sewing class where you'll make a custom cross-back apron! This style of apron does not need to be tied and can be put on very easily.

  All materials will be provided.  This class is 25$ for members of GPMS and $30 for non-members.  Participant should be at least 12 years old to take this class.

  In this class Sherrailynn will walk you through how to make a wall-mounted propagation station using wood and a glass container.  Participants will be using tools from our wood lab and must be at least 16 years old to take this class.

  All materials will be provided, but if you have a glass container that might work, feel free to bring it!

  Join Elena in learning to make a cauldron trinket cup!  You will make and glaze the cauldron which will then be left to dry and then be fired at GPMS over the week following class.  Participants will need to return to GPMS to pick up their project about one week after class.  Elena will contact you when they are available for pick up

  GPMS will provide the clay, glaze, and tools needed to hand build a plant pot.

  Join Kolby for a new series at the MakerSpace!  During this 5-week series, participants will learn the basics of podcastings with the goal of creating your own podcast.  You'll learn about software and applications to use as well as beginner information on key things to think about when developing your content and audience. 

  If you have your own laptop, please bring it. There will be ones you can use from the MakerSpace if needed.  

  Enrolling for this class will sign you up for all 5 sessions.  Each session will be about one and half hours long.  If you can't make all 5, you are still welcome to enroll and come to most sessions.

  And to brag on your instrutor...Kolby is the voice of both GCHS sports and GCCC sports!  He travels with and calls the games for almost every sporting event both schools attend.  Kolby has his Master's degree from K-State and spent time there teaching classes (on podcasting) and calling Wildcat games, too!

  In this class, Nicole will cover the basic tools and techniques for stained glass using copper foil. Participants will create a small project from start to finish. No prior experience is needed. Participants 16 years or older can register.

  This class is required in order for members to use the 3D printers.

  Kiefer will teach you how 3D printers work, how to use slicer software, and how to download 3D designs. This training will focus on the new Bambu Lab A1 Combo 3D printers.

  Join Elena in learning to make little clay ghosts!  Participants will create little clay ghosts to cover tea lights for a spooky cute Halloween decoration.  The ghosts will be dried and fired at GPMS over the week following class.  Participants will need to return to GPMS to pick up their project about one week after class.  Elena will contact you when items are ready to be picked up.

  Note, this class will occur overnight!  And due to the nature of, well, nature, we've scheduled a few possible dates for this course in hopes of one of those dates having weather with the needed conditions.  This will be a one night class.

  In this first class, you will learn some of the basics of astrophotography (taking photographs of celsetial sights), with the focus on lunar photography.  Kolby is a self-taught astrophotographer.  He will teach you the basics to get started and guide the class through a night-time photography session.  You will learn how to combat moonlight for deep sky astrophotography.  Plan for a long night to ensure the best chances of getting some good shots.  Kolby may stay overnight.  :)

  Particpants will need to provide their own camera, the makerspace does not have cameras for particpants to use.

  Come make a cute and spoopy crochet zombie with us!  Nicole will provide instructions and assitance on how to crochet this boxy little zombie.  All supplies will be provided and you'll have many colors to choose from.  

  Participants should already know how to crochet to take this class.  Specifically, you should be able to do chain stich and single crochet stich.  A few other techniquies will be taught in class (magic ring, back-loop-only, and changing colors).
