In Case You Missed it…

We are currently working with several local entities on a plan for a possible MakerSpace location. Along with the Finney County Economic Development Corporation, and the Finney County Child Care and Early Learning Network, and City and County Governments, we’ve been working on a plan that could possibly see the MakerSpace move into the currently vacant Homestead facility on 3rd Street.

Plans are currently still in the early phases, but look promising. The city has indicated favor for a plan that would provide a loan to acquire the building, allowing the MakerSpace and Child Care center to renovate and then lease separate parts of the building.

The East end of the building would house the child care center, while the curved west end, and center sections would house the MakerSpace. The building would come already equipped with a full commercial style kitchen as well as an extensive fire suppression system.
